Planetary health is declining, creating uninhabitable conditions. We are living in the Anthropocene, the recent period in Earth’s history when humans have become the single most influential species, significantly impacting the planet’s climate and ecosystems.

Our economic system is at the center of this imbalance, as it incentivizes extraction and consumption, valuing profits over life. The system is encoded with the logic of perpetual growth, commodifying nature as a resource. When the truth is nature is the source that sustains us.

The Earth is a self-healing, self-regulating organism. If we stop the exploitation and destruction of the living world, she can have an opportunity to regenerate and come back into a state of equilibrium. Humans can be a beneficial keystone species, living in symbiosis and reciprocity with the planet.

We envision a world where culture and our economic system can shift from extractive to regenerative, transactional to relational, and from commodifying Mother Earth to revering her.

Ma Earth is developing tools to support the alignment of economic incentives with planetary regeneration. With new technologies, like blockchains and satellites, we can redistribute financial resources to people and places in service to improve ecological health.
